Scanning reads most receipts well, but it's best-effort — here's how to fix what it missed.

Receipt scanning uses AI to read the vendor, amount, date, and tax. It's accurate on most clear receipts, but faded, crumpled, or handwritten ones can trip it up.

If a field is wrong

• Just edit the field before you save — your correction wins.
• A clear, flat, well-lit photo of the whole receipt reads best.
• PDFs aren't auto-read; they're attached for you to fill in by hand.
