What the QuickBooks integration does

RenoJira can push a project's financial records to your QuickBooks Online company so your bookkeeping stays up to date without double entry. When you send a project to QuickBooks, RenoJira creates the customer, your received payments (as sales receipts), and your expenses (as purchases). The sync is one-way — from RenoJira to QuickBooks — and runs only when you choose to send a project. The integration is optional and off until you connect.

How to connect QuickBooks

  1. Open the RenoJira app and go to Settings → QuickBooks.
  2. Tap Connect to QuickBooks.
  3. Sign in to Intuit and authorize RenoJira to access your QuickBooks company.
  4. You'll be returned to the app, now showing Connected.

To send a project, open it, tap the ••• menu, and choose Send to QuickBooks.

Reconnecting

If your connection expires or QuickBooks asks you to sign in again, return to Settings → QuickBooks in the app and tap Connect to QuickBooks to re-authorize. Your previously synced records are matched automatically, so reconnecting won't create duplicates.

How to disconnect

You can disconnect at any time, two ways:

  • In RenoJira: go to Settings → QuickBooks and tap Disconnect.
  • In QuickBooks: sign in to QuickBooks Online, open Apps → My Apps, find RenoJira, and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting revokes RenoJira's access and deletes the stored authorization tokens for your connection. No further data is sent to QuickBooks until you connect again.

Your data

RenoJira stores only the authorization tokens for your connection (encrypted) and a mapping of RenoJira records to their QuickBooks IDs so re-syncing doesn't create duplicates.
