Paid by Subcontractor: when someone fronts a cost

Record a cost a subcontractor paid out of pocket so RenoJira tracks what you owe them back.

Sometimes a subcontractor buys materials on your behalf and you pay them back later. The Paid by Subcontractor option records that, so the cost still counts on the job and the sub is shown as owed the money.

  1. 1Add or edit the expense and open Add details.
  2. 2Turn on Paid by Subcontractor.
  3. 3Choose Which subcontractor fronted the cost.
  4. 4Save.

By default (toggle off), an expense is treated as paid by your company. When it's on, the amount is tracked as money the subcontractor fronted and is owed back.
